2009-2010

2010 cannot be half
gone!
Last time, I mentioned how time flies. Lately, it feels as if it
has jet engines, not merely wings. Whew!
I have no one to blame but myself – and maybe an editor or two –
for the fact that I don’t update here often enough. By the time
I finish writing the books my publisher wants, I’m usually too
worn to a frazzle to want to stay at my computer and work on
this newsletter.
Here are my latest "Adventures". ?
I was just trying to finish up the last historical book on a
current contract when I got a call from my agent asking if I
wanted to participate in a contemporary series involving the
Texas Rangers. Of course I did, so I will be book #3. The whole
series will start in Jan of 2011 with a book by Terri Reed.
Other authors are Lenora Worth, Feb.; Me, March; Margaret Daley,
April; Lynette Eason, May; and Shirlee McCoy, June.
Then I dutifully went back to work on my historical set in 1906
San Francisco. I decided to write about that year while
researching the 1857 historical THE DOCTOR’S NEWFOUND FAMILY,
which will be in stores in June 2010 – like soon!
The upcoming 1906 book will be called RESCUING THE HEIRESS and
should be in stores Feb. 2011. Are you keeping all this
straight? I have to post a list on my wall!!!!
I’ve also been blessed to have been named a finalist in several
more national contests. That info is on my home page.
Makes me tired just telling you all this but I do love what I
do, especially since I get to share my faith and tell
interesting and sometimes hair-raising stories at the same time.
See y’all soon – I hope.
