2008

WELCOME TO 2008!
Hello!
Have a seat on the porch swing with me and I'll try to fill you
in on the latest news.
My books did well last year, as I've told you before, but it
looks as if 2008 is going to be my best year yet! And we're only
partway through it.
A TREASURE OF THE HEART has been getting all kinds of national
recognition. So far it's been a finalist for the Colorado
Romance Writer's "Award of Excellence", the Wisconsin RWA "Write
Touch Readers Award", the Greater Detroit RWA's "Bookseller's
Best Award" and has received a Holt Medallion "Award of Merit,
best Southern Theme" from Virginia Romance Writers. SHADOW OF
TURNING joined it for the Wisconsin "Write Touch Readers Award"
in the suspense category. I'm plum bumfuzzled – and blessed
right down to my toes - as they say around here. ?
March brought my first historical novel, FRONTIER COURTSHIP, and
if the local stores are any indication of how it did nationwide,
the Love Inspired Historical line is off to a great start! My
next one, WILDERNESS COURTSHIP, will be available through the
Steeple Hill book club in June and in stores in mid-August.
Check out the gorgeous cover on my home page. The art department
has certainly been outdoing itself.
What am I working on now? Well, there are already two more
suspense novels in the works and I'm about to begin writing two
more historical books, so keep your eyes on my website for new
covers as I receive them or check out the Internet search
engines. I can't believe how often I show up there.
As I've said, it's wonderful writing for Steeple Hill. I have to
keep a list posted next to my computer to help me remember all
the details but I wouldn't trade my job for anything in the
world.
See y'all soon!
