NEWSLETTER
2011
and Beyond
Where does the time go????
Hello, again. Welcome back to my front porch. We spend many
leisure hours either out here or on the screened portion of the
porch that's just off the kitchen. You can see that here.

I'm still working on that contract I got for
so many Love Inspired books but I'm happy to report I've
finished three of those manuscripts since my last newsletter and
am not feeling quite as overwhelmed. As I said before, it's a
good thing I LOVE what I do.
We haven't had a chance to take a real vacation this year. At
least not yet. It's been so hot here I actually ran the well out
of water – twice – trying to keep my flowers and veggies alive.
In another month or two I won't have to worry about it. They'll
either have gotten rain or died. Preferably the rain.
Getting back to business, more of my backlist has been released
as e-books. That sure seems to be the coming trend, not that I
mind, because it means that these labors of love won't go out of
print the way they used to. Some look the way they did in print
and some, like this one, have a special border. I like it.

Last time we met I promised a peek into the
storm cellar out behind the house. I thought I had a picture
handy but can't seem to find it. Oh, well, it's your basic hole
in the ground that has a bench and metal door to latch so we
don't get blown away. I keep all my current manuscript files on
a flash drive and hang it around my neck so I won't have to go
looking for the text of a work-in-progress somewhere in the next
county! The chances of getting hit by a tornado are very slim
but I know better than to gamble.
Be sure to check here from time to time to see what I'm up to.
I'm ashamed to say I don't update as often as I should but
writing whole books takes up most of my energy. That's why I
don't blog much, either, except for an occasional guest
appearance.
Until we meet again, God bless you all,
Val
